SDFL U-14 Major Cup: Cabinteely FC 1-1 (pens 4-2) Railway Union FC
Our SDFL U-14D1 team is looking forward to representing Cabinteely in the SDFL U-14 Major Cup final on Sunday, May 8, against Postal Aylesbury FC in the SDFL’s headquarters, Ballyowen.

The teams got through their very close semi-finals with Cabinteely beating Railway Union FC last Sunday in a game in which Cabo went 1-0 up in the first half only for Railway Union to score late on to send the exciting match to extra time.

As the match was still 1-1 after extra time the decision went to the dreaded nail-biting penalty shoot-out where our lads came out on top 4-2!

Postal Aylesbury also had a very close semi-final 2-1 win against Blessington FC to set up what promises to be a very exciting final on May 8 between two great teams that currently sit second and third in the league table.

Manager and coaches Mick, Paul and Hugh would like to congratulate all the players on a job well done – Alex, Aaron, David, Conor G, Conor O’K, Danny, Finn, Kevin, Daniel, Killian O’S, Cillian D, Christian, Hugo, Jack, Ciarán, Seán, Christopher, and Matthew.

The lads will be looking for our great Cabo support to come along and cheer them on in the final, so do put the date in your diary. We’ll have more fixture information closer to the date.

In what has been a great season so far, getting to represent Cabinteely in the final really tops it off!
