A new community group that may be essential for you
A new local organisation, Cabinteely First Responders (CFR) has asked the club to help it spread awareness of its existence and to invite you along to an early information evening.

CFR groups work on a nationwide basis with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) to respond to emergency 112/999 calls for chest pain, breathing difficulty, choking, stroke and cardiac-related calls within a CFR group’s operational area.

Local CFR members are dispatched simultaneously with the NAS to respond. Because they live or work in the community, CFRs can often reach the patient before the paramedic crews.

Cabinteely CFR will cover the Cabinteely/Foxrock and surrounding areas and is holding a community information night at 7.00pm on June 22 in St. Brigid’s BNS, Mart Lane, Dublin 18. All are welcome, whether intending to volunteer or not. No prior experience is required.

The group may be contacted us through its Facebook page or by email to ‘CabinteelyCFR@gmail.com’ and you may find some more information on this poster.

A cause worth your support; let’s hope that you won’t need to call on them anytime soon.
