Club volunteers and members disgusted by pitch vandalism
The Facebook post below, from one of our extraordinary volunteers following the wanton destruction of pitches in Kilbogget Park on Friday night, shows the anger and frustration within the club.
How do we tell our players, some as young as five, coaches, managers, families and volunteers that we won’t be able to train or play on these pitches for weeks, maybe months? See full drone views of the full extent of the damage on our Twitter account.
We have seven TDs, including three government ministers, in the two Dáil constituencies that cover the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council area from where we draw our players, coaches, managers, families, volunteers and supporters. We need political, business, community and police support at this difficult time. #cabofightingback
“Thanks to the little ****s that did this last night. Three pitches unplayable for the foreseeable future for your 20 minutes of fun. Four games at least every Saturday and Sunday each pitch. Your little brother, sister, nephew or niece or cousins will be affected by your action – be proud😠.”
It seems that some local parents and families just don’t care!
